🌵 Each order includes at least ONE Snow Cactus (Hairy Opuntia) cutting/paddle. Cuttings may vary slightly in size, shape, and amount of fuzzy growth. Roots are typically not present, as these cuttings are intended to be rooted by the recipient. All cuttings will be freshly cut, and carefully packaged prior to shipping to help ensure successful propagation.
The pictures are just an example of the type of Snow Cactus Hairy Opuntia cutting you are buying. You will not receive the exact same paddle of the Snow Cactus Hairy Opuntiain the photo.
👋 Also, please understand NOT all leaves/cuttings will be in absolute 100% perfect condition. Unfortunately nature isn't always perfect. There may be some very small blemishes or maybe none at all depending on the plant and where I can cut. But I will absolutely NOT send you a dying leaf with a huge brown spot or hole that's for sure! 😉🥹

🌵 Please check out the propagation tips & tricks to help your new Snow Cactus (Hairy Opuntia) cutting thrive!
#1.) Upon arrival, remove your cutting from the packaging and inspect the cut end. If the cut end is not fully dry and callused, allow it to sit in a dry location out of direct sunlight for a few additional days before planting.
#2.) Once the cut end is fully callused, place the cutting upright in a container filled with well-draining cactus or succulent potting mix. Bury the bottom 1–2 inches of the cutting just deep enough to keep it stable. Do not water immediately after planting.
#3.) Wait approximately 5–7 days before the first light watering. Thereafter, water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry completely between waterings. Overwatering before roots develop is the most common cause of failure.
#4.) Place the cutting in bright, indirect light while roots are forming. After several weeks, gently tug on the cutting to check for resistance, which indicates root growth. Once rooted, gradually introduce the plant to more direct sunlight.
Note: Your cutting may appear slightly dehydrated, wrinkled, or stressed from shipping. This is normal and typically does not affect its ability to root. Cacti store water within their tissues and are well adapted to periods of dryness. Simply allow the cutting to callus if needed, plant it in well-draining soil, and give it time to establish roots.
Please handle with care. While this cactus appears soft and fuzzy, the tiny spines (glochids) can irritate skin and are difficult to remove once embedded. Consider using gloves when handling.
🙆♀️ While I am here to help with the amazing and fun propagation experience, I cannot promise or guarantee 100% successful propagations. For more success, you may also want to "google" and do your own research on how best to take care of your cuttings and keep learning on your plant-loving journey! 🌻 Being prepared and gaining knowledge about the process will help you to help your plants thrive.

📦 **Shipping Note: Shipping charges include the cost of postage plus the specialized packaging materials needed to safely ship live plant cuttings (protective wrapping, moisture supplies, cushioning, individualized labeling, appropriate-sized boxes, and packing materials). If shipping is overestimated, any excess amount will be refunded.
How your cuttings ship
Every cutting is carefully selected and prepared close to shipping. Cuttings are typically fresh and unrooted, although occasional early root growth may be present. Each one is wrapped in a damp paper towel, sealed in plastic wrap, and packed with protective cushioning to help it stay hydrated during transit.
Most orders ship Monday through Wednesday so cuttings don't sit in a postal facility over the weekend. Priority orders may also ship Thursday or Friday. We don't use heat or cold packs.
If your order arrives with a shipping-related issue, please send clear photos or an unboxing video within 48 hours of delivery so I can help.
Rooting your cuttings
Unwrap your cuttings as soon as they arrive. Place the node (the little bump where the leaf meets the stem) in a glass of water or damp sphagnum moss, keeping the leaves above the water.
Set them in bright, indirect light and change the water about once a week. Roots may begin to appear in 2–4 weeks, although every cutting is different.
Once the roots are approximately 2–5 inches long, pot your cutting in well-draining soil and keep it lightly moist while it settles in.
Grown with prayer
Every cutting from Prayerfully Planted is grown, cut, and packed by hand with care and a prayer for the home it's headed to. We hope your new plant brings a little life, peace, and encouragement to your space.
“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.” — 2 Peter 3:18
